Total waste of time. Half the equipment didn’t even work, the movie was awful, and the whole thing lasted barely 15 minutes. Staff was friendly, but don’t be fooled — this is a tourist trap, plain and simple. Disney and other cruise operators oversell it; in reality, it’s literally just a garage.

Tolles Geschäft, entlich ein Souvenirgeschäft das andere Dinge verkauft als alle anderen 35 Geschäfte der Stadt.
Auf jeden Fall einmal reinschauen wenn man vor Ort ist, es gibt von Büchern, über Deko bis hin zu vor Ort Hangemacht Schmuck eine sehr gut zusammen Gestellts Auswahl.

Die schlechten Bewertungen hier, beziehen sich großteils auf das VR Erlebnis.
Das haben wir nicht gemacht und Stand für uns auch nicht am Fokus als wir den Laden gesehen haben. Aber für ca 15€ kann man in VR Bereich nicht soviel erwarten.

I don't think this is actually a Museum, more of a shop selling artifacts and souvenirs, that said the VR film was interesting if a little outdated. The host (lady) was warm and friendly telling briefly some history and introducing the film. We went as part of a Cruise excursion so don't know how much the entrance cost was.

Google suggested this when searched for Viking museum. It's NOT!!. It's a shop selling some Viking themed items. You can watch short VR movie about Vikings (about 10-15min long) but that's it. Very pricey for what it is!! We paid in July 2023- 175 NOK!! Not worth the money. However you get half price ticket in different museums once visited Viking house, i.e. Petroleum museum (and I guess vice versa).

We visited this in July 23 we didn’t do the actual virtual tour, but popped in as it seemed rude not too, so historical Nic nac’s if you want something different and to access the shop you don’t need to do the ‘experience’ wheel chair friendly too.

NOT A MUSEUM, as the staff explained very clearly. It's a 15 minutes long virtual reality movie about the first king of Norway, a viking, as told in the sagas.
It also has very cool souvenirs at the shop.
It's a small but very nice attraction with just a film, a shop and the staff wears viking clothes.
It's also possible to take pictures in the movie room (that is shaped like a viking ship!) on the hand carved wooden chair. Lovely!
