Quality Hotel Saga - Tromsø

I travel to Tromsø for work about twice a month, so over the years I’ve stayed in pretty much every hotel in the city. Without a doubt, Quality Hotel Saga is the one I like the most, and the place I keep coming back to.||The rooms are super comfortable, and the beds are easily the best I’ve tried in Tromsø. After long workdays, I really appreciate how good the mattresses are – I always sleep well here, which honestly doesn’t happen everywhere.||The location couldn’t be better. It’s right in the center, with great views of the Cathedral, and you can walk to all the cafés, restaurants, museums, and attractions in just a few minutes. Whether I’m heading to meetings or want to grab a bite and enjoy the city, everything is close.||The staff make a big difference too. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and I have to mention Merethe at reception – she’s always welcoming and goes out of her way to make things easy for me. As a frequent traveler, that personal touch really matters.||Breakfast is another highlight. There’s a wide selection, everything is fresh and tasty, and it’s definitely one of the best hotel breakfasts in town. The only thing missing for me would be a proper espresso machine – but honestly, with all the options they already offer, it’s a small detail.||Overall, I’d say this is the best hotel in Tromsø, whether you’re here for business (like me) or just visiting for leisure. Comfort, location, service, and breakfast – Quality Hotel Saga gets it right on all counts.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral – ideal, um die Innenstadt zu erkunden. Es gibt eine kleine Garage mit etwa 10 Stellplätzen, was für die Größe des Hotels eher wenig ist. Die Parkgebühr von 295 NOK pro Nacht ist für die Stadt allerdings recht günstig.
Das Zimmer war leider sehr klein, und es gab keine Möglichkeit, die Fenster zu öffnen. Auch das Bad war sehr eng.
Das Frühstück bot eine große Auswahl, allerdings waren viele Speisen – wie frische Eier oder Spiegeleier – bereits kalt.
Insgesamt eine tolle Lage, aber mit Abzügen beim Komfort und beim Frühstück.

Tolles Hotel mit einem super Frühstück. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Der Standort ist auch sehr gut, mitten in der Stadt, war alles fussläufig zu erreichen. Ich habe einen Punkt abgezogen, weil es für mich schwierig war einen Platz zum Ausladen zu finden. Den Tiefgaragenplatz habe ich nicht gemietet, ich hatte beim letzten Besuch Schwierigkeiten mit dem Leihwagen in die Garage zu fahren und wieder herauszukommen. Habe diesmal im Parkhaus geparkt, war auch sehr eng.

Hotel pulito e silenzioso. Avevamo una stanza al sesto piano con una bellissima vista sulla Cattedrale dell'Artico. Il bagno un po' piccolo. Abbiamo spento il riscaldamento perché la temperatura era sufficiente. Ottima colazione con una scelta molto varia, soprattutto nella parte salata.

Останавливались в отеле на одну ночь семьёй. Приятно удивило расположение - прямо в центре Тромсё, всё рядом. Шикарный вид на церковь. Номер был чистый, кровати удобные, персонал вежливый и заселение прошло супер быстро. Особенно хочется отметить завтрак — вкусно, разнообразно, свежие овощи, яйца, сыры, рыба, мясо в разных видах, несколько тёплых блюд. Всё, что нужно для комфортного начала дня. Из минусов — парковка не включена в стоимость, и мест может не быть, стоит уточнять заранее. Нам не хватило мест на паковку, но нам улучили номер и это радует. В целом отель оставил приятное впечатление, отличный вариант для короткой остановки в городе. В целом соответствует цене.

I had booked the hotel because they advertised a sauna and gym in the hotel. None of this was available to me, sauna only in selected rooms. I sent an email the first evening and got a reply on day 2 that they should change their marketing..... On the 5th floor the internet was extremely bad, I pointed this out to the reception, they were aware of the problem and asked me to "log off and on" I had already tried this 10 times and it ended up that I used mobile data to be able to attend a couple of meetings on zoom. I would like to point out that the service among the cleaning staff, those at breakfast were great

Für unsere Motorradreise eigentlich das perfekte Hotel. Zimmer sehr gut (die Betten jedoch leider sehr weich), Bad sehr gut, Frühstück sehr gut, alles sehr sauber, freundliches Personal. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt's lediglich dafür, dass wir keinen Parkplatz bekommen haben, wir mussten ca. 500 m weg vom Hotel auf einem zwar kostenlosen Motorrad Parkplatz parken, dabei hat man aber immer ein mulmiges Gefühl. Zum Glück ist nix passiert.

The breakfast buffet was plentiful, and the dining staff made a real effort to keep everything well stocked.

A point of criticism, however, is that we had trouble finding a place to sit because it was very crowded.

The accommodation has definitely seen better days. Our shower had mold on the sides and broken tiles.

But what we found most disappointing were the staff at the reception. They were not friendly at all – no welcoming smile, no warm greeting, no real interest in the guests, and no eye contact (they preferred looking at their phones). That‘s not what I call hospitality.
